Cannot wipe this Smile xoxo

06.09.12

I was asked to put some looks together for Lockdown Models for the Launch Pictures for Cork Fashion Week recently that showcased some of Cork’s Boutiques, Miss Daisy Blue, New Look & The Dress Bar. I have to admit that I would normally have a lot more time to work on looks for various projects and I spend hours putting together inspiration boards but I do also get SO excited by last minute projects that come my way… I have a few photo shoots coming up that I cannot wait for and I received some great news today that just makes any hard work seem effortless and worthwhile…

Thank you to everyone that has supported me along the way so far from the bottom of my heart.

I feel like a new woman these days with so much positivity surrounding me especially from my boyfriend, family, colleagues and best friends. Life is Super but Life is also what you make of it.

Mad about LauraJane….

22.04.12

I styled a photoshoot for Lockdown Models in Cork with the extremely talented photographer and stylist Sarah Blake a while back. I just got a few of those photos now and I am blown away by them. The models were such a delight to work with, you would never guess that these girls are new models being signed to the agency and were such professionals with really different but unique looks.

This is my favourite picture of the day. Laura Jane O’ Rahilly is the future face of the modelling world. She has the most incredible face…her piercing ice blue eyes and full mouth are just breath-taking! She can pull off so many looks, styles and poses with such a natural flair. I am so happy I got to work on Laura’s first shoot with her before she becomes famous!

For one of her beauty shots, I put silver butterflies in her hair framing her spectacular face. They looked so cool amongst her auburn hair.

I actually got these butterflies to use as Christmas decorations ( I don’t really do traditional Christmas decorating!) and I have used them since for making cards, putting amongst fresh flowers in a vase, wrapping around jars for candles and used them in my own hair. They are so handy and oh so pretty and I got them in my local arts and craft store for about €2.99.

Check out this beautiful shot of Laura Jane from the shoot by Sarah Blake…..

True Beauty

20.03.12

I have an obsession with the glamour and beauty of the Forties & Fifties. The women were just so gorgeous back then with their curves and their natural beauty. I also loved the style and class and the lady-like glamour. I was born in the wrong era for sure :)
