I promised to do a little post on my trip to three very different bridal boutiques yesterday in London.
A lot of my lovely readers have been asking for my advice on wedding dress shopping but as I am only discovering places for myself, I have been slow to offer too much information. I am happy to share some of my experiences with you and hope that you will share some experiences with me too!
In the past few months I have visited some gorgeous bridal shops at home here in Ireland- Three in Dublin and one in Cork to be exact and I can honestly say that I was as happy (if not more) with the choice and selection on offer in our humble little Ireland as I was in the big ol’ city of London.
So, my trip to London consisted of visiting: Browns Bride, Vera Wang at Browns Bride & Jenny Packham. This post is not a review. I simply just want to share my positive experiences at these stores. (I would never be negative about a business or service without explaining to them that I would be reviewing their services prior to my visit)
I was so pleasantly surprised with the service offered in all three of these boutiques and each of them had a few dresses that I loved and some that I didn’t love so much but I must say that I was particularly impressed with the choice in Browns Bride!
If you are a bride that is really open to designer suggestions, one that really doesn’t have a particular “look” in mind and one that really just wants to enjoy an hour of being looked after by a super friendly sales consultant (Jenny) with a glass of champagne in hand, then this store is definitely worth a visit! The good news is that the dresses do vary in price here and they carry a wide range of designers and styles from Monique Lhuillier & Delphine Manivet to one of my favourites, Mira Zwillinger.
I also had such an enjoyable Vera Wang & Jenny Packham experience and again here, I was really well looked after by friendly staff. The only negative thing I can say is that I wasn’t offered any champagne in Jenny Packham and I was in Vera Wang & Browns Bride. Oh the travisty! If that’s my worst complaint, then one could safely say that I was in very good hands!
- If I wore Vera, it would have to be black! (I tried on quite possibly the most amazing black dress ever there!)
- Jenny Packham oozes glamour and sophistication
- Browns Bride is really worth a visit if you find yourself in London and want to treat yourself to a super special day
