A little piece of my Heart now belongs to you….

Why did I have to discover the most amazing boutiques ever at the end of my trip?! It’s probably meant to be as my suitcase is already totally over weight but wow, the shopping in Forte dei Marmi is amazing. I haven’t seen anything like it really before…all the stores are beautifully decorated, all clustered near each other so really easy to shop and they all stock such random, unique pieces from jewellery to shoes to handbags and interiors. Lust Have Heaven but only on a big budget :(

I am going to dedicate tomorrow morning to trying to take some pictures of the boutiques, buy a small few pieces and just meander through the stores sans boyfriend so I’ll be hopping on my bike and heading down town…I am excited already!

We spent the last few days down in Cinque Terre and the surrounding areas with some friends we met up with. So much fun! The original plan was to go there, then we decided against it and then since we were near enough by train from Forte dei Marmi, we decided to just head down there for a night. I am so happy we made that decision as it really is worth heading down there to see. However, I do have a major issue with the amount of us tourists down there. I would seriously love to find a quiet time and do it all over again. We even did an hour and a half hike overlooking the ocean and two of the five Cinque Terre villages in 30 degree heat…It’s tough going but definitly not anywhere near as hard as people make out on Tripadvisor. Despite my little tiny strop mid way, I was happy enough to have done it and we rewarded ourselves by jumping straight into the sea at the end…Bliss!

Let me know if you are planning a trip to Italy and I would be delighted to help you out with any questions I can help you with….

Ciao for now,

xoxo

Glorious Moment

26.03.12

As I was out walking today, I took off my headphones for a moment and I became conscious of the sounds around me… Birds chirping, dogs barking and children squealing, people laughing and chatting, leaves blowing along the ground and insects buzzing around as the sun shone so bright and the breeze was slightly warm…It was glorious! Sometimes you just need to take a precious moment, listen to & observe the beauty of all the simplicity that is around you, take a break from the chaos of the world and from your busy thoughts & just breath, relax and enjoy the moment. Life can run away from you too fast when you do not enjoy the simple things in life.

On a totally different note, I have started to think about my summer holidays! I am sure so many people are the same. As soon as there is a hint of sunshine, you just go into holiday mode… Well I do anyway! I am super excited to be visiting my long time yearned for Italy this summer and plan to visit Tuscany. I want to really get an insight into the culture and country so I am hoping to visit all small little towns and villages and try to stay away from the bigger cities so if anyone has any advice on Italian Holidays, feel free to send me some!
