It is so fun, feminine and completely festive and I just got it this weekend in Topshop. Taffeta is such a great material for skirts as it just puffs right out. My first ever memory of shopping was when I got a green taffeta dress at 3 years of age. I mostly remember throwing a massive temper tantrum on the floor until my father agreed to buy it for me. Some things will never change!
I adore mixing textures and velvet is undoubtedly one of my absolute favourite materials. I love this body from the Rihanna for River Island collection. The padding on the shoulders makes it even more special.
I have had a really fun weekend and something really exciting happened…. I found my wedding dress. Yay! I was beginning to think that I would never find one as I really didn’t have a clue what style I wanted and I was probably enjoying the looking far too much to decide on one! The big decision has finally been made. Double Yay!
I am heading to Galway this Wednesday for StealMyStyle, the fashion & rail sale event I run with Erika Fox which is taking place at The Stock Exchange in the city centre. I am really looking forward to selling some of my own clothes, shoes and accessories to make room for a new Christmas wardrobe.
Speaking of Christmas, I am in the middle of doing up my ”Lust Haves Gift Guide” for you too so I should be posting that early this week. It is pretty hard to do as I want everything myself!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend? Hope to see some of you in Galway on Wednesday. Make sure to pop by and say Hi!
Party Season is approaching and at an awful speed at that! My advice is: Best be prepared!
If there is one thing that I like to spend my money on, it’s Party Shoes! I think Topshop have a fantastic collection online right now to suit so many different tastes but these are just some of my personal favourites which you can also shop below:
October is my favourite month for many reasons but mostly just 2 pretty good reasons: 1. My Birthday & 2. Halloween! I love to celebrate occasions and make a big fuss whilst doing so.
I also love October weather as it’s just starting to get cold BUT not too cold. I can still wear light slip dresses like this and this with a leather jacket (similar here and here) but keep snug with a knitted hat and some black opaque tights. It hurt me to put back on opaque tights for those first few moments but then I remembered just how handy they are to cover the white pasty legs of the Irish!
Slip Dresses are everywhere right now. I love them for their usefulness! Topshop have loads in stock (here) and they can be worn in so many ways.
I adore them with a huge, chunky, oversized knit and ankle boots too or all glammed up for a night out with just some killer heels,
Hope that some of you can make it along to StealMyStyle this Sunday?
